It’s almost hard to believe it’s finally here.

Today is the Spring Primary Election for Wisconsin.

I hope I have earned your vote over these past few months. I have listened to your concerns at your homes and heard your experiences in your neighborhoods. I have learned a lot as you shared your stories, challenges and insights. I know that there’s a lot of work to do and that the tasks seem daunting, but I believe we will work together to build a better future in Wisconsin.

I hope you will vote today for meaningful action and for problem solving rather than politics as usual. I hope you will vote for a candidate that has the experience to get things done in Madison. I hope you vote for one who is eager to fight hard for the people of our district.

In short, I hope you will cast your vote today for Jeanne Tarantino for State Assembly.

Our democratic republic is built on this fundamental principle of government by the consent and will of the governed. Regardless of how you plan to mark your ballot, please make your voice heard. Brave the cold weather, get to your local polling place, and vote today.

FOX6 News caught up with me yesterday while I was out walking through the district, knocking on doors, and meeting with the people I hope to represent in the Assembly.

I was glad to take a few minutes and speak with them, because it was good chance to articulate the reasons that I’m the best candidate for the 98th District, chief among them my experience. As I stated in the interview, it is critical that the new representative is able to hit the ground running because they will be sworn in during a legislative session already in progress. The people of our district can’t wait for their representative to find their footing in Madison. We need someone who can jump in with both feet, work with the rest of the Assembly to pass a sensible budget, and tackle the other tough issues facing our state from their first day in office. In short, we need a candidate with the experience to make a difference right away.

I am that candidate.

As the interview shows, my experience working in the Walker administration has prepared me to represent you in Madison when you need your voice to be heard: right away.

If you missed the interview on last night’s evening news, you can catch it on the FOX6 News website.

We’re just a week away from the Spring Primary on February 19th! Time sure flies when you’re working hard, knocking doors, making phone calls, and doing anything you can to meet and greet the people of the 98th Assembly District!

It has been enlightening and humbling to speak with so many informed voters over these past several weeks. The people I speak with are tired of partisan politics and want their representatives from both sides of the aisle to work together. They’re desperate for tax relief so they can keep more of their hard-earned income. They’re concerned about the skills gap that inhibits our workers and impedes the productivity of our small businesses.

Hearing the concerns of my friends and neighbors of Waukesha, Pewaukee, and Sussex has me energized. I am bound and determined to solve these problems as the next Representative of the 98th District in the State Assembly!

It’s hard to believe, but I also still find that a lot of people don’t know about the election taking place in just one week. Would you help me make sure our friends and neighbors are informed about the upcoming election?

I’m hosting a Super Saturday on February 16th – just three days before the election. If you can donate just a bit of your time, you can help me make sure the people of this district turn out in droves to make their voices heard next Tuesday. You can also help me make sure they know that the candidate best qualified to represent them from day one in the State Assembly is Jeanne Tarantino.

Hope to see you Saturday!

It’s hard to believe the primary election on February 19th is only two weeks from today! After weeks of roaming through Waukesha, Pewaukee, and Sussex knocking on doors, shaking hands, and meeting so many friendly faces, I can hardly believe it’s almost time to head to the polls!

Of course, while the Spring Primary is on February 19th, many voters (myself included) will choose to use in-person absentee (early) voting and rest easy knowing that their vote has been cast. Early voting is open now through February 15th at your county or municipal clerk’s office. To find your clerk, you can check with the Government Accountability Board Directory of Wisconsin Clerks or at My Vote Wisconsin to find out where you need to go.

While our Wisconsin Winter keeps us on our toes, wouldn’t it be nice to have one less item on your to do list? I hope you’ll join me in availing yourself of our early voting system, and that when you do you vote for Jeanne Tarantino for State Assembly!

BRRRRRRR!

I have been beating a path through the snow to your front door in this Wisconsin Winter Wonderland. I believe that it’s important that the people of our district actually meet the person who would like to represent them in the State Assembly, and neither rain, nor snow, nor both in the span of three days (gotta love Wisconsin weather!) shall deter me from that mission.

I like meeting the voters of our district because I get to make the case of why I am the best candidate to represent you in Madison. I get to explain why it’s so important to choose an experienced conservative in this election.

Experience is always a factor in choosing a representative, but it’s particularly important in this election. The State Assembly is already working hard to represent you. As I noted on my Facebook Page this week, Assembly Republicans have just begun an initiative to simplify state regulations to make it easier to do business in Wisconsin. This is a great step to continue to make Wisconsin a better place to do business and create jobs.

Simplifying the Administrative Code, enacting mining legislation, passing the next budget – these are all actions that will be in progress by the time our district’s representative will be sworn in. The winner of this election can’t take their time learning on the job. We need someone who will be ready to tackle the tough issues on Day One. We need someone who knows their way around the Capitol, can readily work with the administration, and understands what needs to be done.

As the Chief of Staff for Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch, I built a wealth of experience that I can use as your representative in the State Assembly. I facilitated small business round tables, attended Governor Walker’s cabinet meetings, and advanced key initiatives by collaborating with state agency leadership teams. During my time in the Department of Workforce Development, I led projects that helped me better understand the steps Wisconsin must take to ensure we adequately train our workers with the skills they need to succeed in well-paying jobs and keep our economy growing.

When I am sworn in as your Representative for the 98th District, I will hit the ground running.

I am ready to be your voice in the State Assembly.

If I haven’t already, I look forward to meeting you soon!

Didn’t we just finish election season?

As I make my way through the 98th Assembly District, meeting with the people I am eager to represent in Madison, I keep hearing that same question. After a very publicized election cycle last fall, the primary election that’s coming up three weeks from today seems like it’s barely registering on anyone’s radar.

The truth is that this election is critical to the people of Waukesha, Pewaukee, and Sussex. They are currently unrepresented in the State Assembly. The people of this district need to have a voice in the State Assembly.

On February 19th, you have the chance to participate in the selection of your voice in Madison, but only if you get to the ballot box and make your voice heard. Help us get the word out that February 19th is a critical date for the people of our area.

Text JEANNE to 33733 to stay in the loop with this mom’s march to Madison. If you have a smart phone, you can even scan the QR code on this page to get started.

We’ll make sure you’re getting the latest news on the election and we’ll even send you a reminder on election day so you don’t forget to make your voice heard.

Once you’ve sent the text message, be sure to share it with your friends and neighbors. Help us build up a group of people who are engaged in making sure their concerns are being taken to Madison and represented by a conservative who will fight for you with the experience to get things done on day one.

Taking advantage of the beautiful weather last weekend, I took to the streets of Pewaukee to knock on the doors of the people I hope to represent in Madison – the friendly and hardworking people of the 98th district!

Many people were taking advantage of the unseasonably warm Saturday morning (40 degrees in January!) to clear melting ice and snow from their driveways, go for a run, or simply get some housework done.

I had the pleasure of introducing myself to voters who were very receptive to my mission of making our state the best place to raise a family and start a business. While some were concerned about the economy, most were optimistic that by supporting Governor Walker’s reforms, making sure you keep more of your hard-earned money by cutting taxes, and working together to solve the problems in Madison, we can keep moving Wisconsin forward.

There are nearly 400,000 veterans living in our great state of Wisconsin. Jeanne is the daughter of a World War II Purple Heart and Bronze Star recipient. She knows first hand that our veterans have suffered both visible and invisible wounds of war. Jeanne has grown up understanding the sacrifice veterans have made and continue to make to preserve our freedom. Jeanne understands the heroes who bravely serve in our Armed Forces are patriotic men and women and believes we owe them a debt of gratitude for their legacy of service. She has participated in Veterans Listening Sessions with Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch during 2012, The Year of the Veteran.

Jeanne believes we owe our veterans more than a debt of gratitude. She believes that we must renew our commitment to help them transition to civilian life by helping them gain employment and access support they need for housing and medical care. She will work with Governor Walker’s Administration to improve the manner in which benefits are administered to our military heroes.

Jeanne will work with Governor Scott Walker and Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary John Scocos to connect veterans and their families with employment opportunities. She will support DVA programs to provide outreach and support to meet the needs of veterans and military spouses in the 21st century.
